Happy 2014 everyone! I’m excited to start this fresh, new baby of a year and I can’t wait to see what 2014 will have in store for me. 2013 turned out to be the most wonderful year of my life but I‘ve no doubt that 2014 will be just as awesome!
Usually I’m not a big fan of new year’s resolutions since I always feel there’s something strangely forced about it. However, I believe that setting goals is the best way to achieve things in your life so as opposed to making a vow to change something about myself, I rather see the new year as a great time to set some goals for what I want to achieve over the next year(s). I don’t want to bore you with all the details but most of my goals center around pushing through my comfort zone as much as possible, being fearless, seeing new things and places, being more active, trying to worry less and enjoy more, being patient and spending more time outdoors.
I hope you also have a positive perspective on what’s ahead in 2014 and I wish you a wonderful start! Cheers to a year filled with new experiences!
The blogyear starts with a little update on what has happened during the holiday season and how I greeted the new year with a new haircolor. As I said, trying new things in 2014 ;)
Whenever I’m at home in Germany I try to squeeze in an appointment with my favorite hairdresser and as always, it turned out great and I’m really happy with the result! Right after Christmas we took off for a quick stop in Prague. I’ve never been to Prague before and I loved it! We’ve just spent the whole day walking all the beautiful bridges, the castle, the old town…beautiful!
As always, the restaurant visits of our trip were much better planned than any sight seeing and we chose to eat at Čestr. The.Best.Steak.Ever. Enough said I guess.
A must-eat while you’re in Prague!!
The next day we stumbled upon the cute little “french” lunch place Au Gourmand
Also very recommendable as a quick break during all your sightseeing.
