Our wedding decoration

Posted on: Monday, December 16, 2013

After we’ve found our wedding location we thought wedding decoration wouldn’t be such big of a deal in our case. We just wanted simple table runners, as little flower arrangements as possible, some vases, candles and everything kept very subtle.
I thought I’d rent most of the stuff and that’s it.

Oh boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong!

It was simply not possible to rent anything besides horrible(!), old-fashioned stuff. We’re talking ivy-leaved, red organza nightmares – gross! Flower arrangements that cost a shitload of money, mostly consisting of pink, pearls(?!) and oh, did I mention ivy leaves? Of course you can find VERY little services that offer pretty decorations, flowers or cute candy/giveaways but they usually charge amounts of money that are ridiculous – because it’s a wedding.

Disenchanted with the whole decorations business, we feared we’d have to do everything by ourselves if we wanted to have the kind of style we were dreaming about! Being the least handy-DIY-person on the planet (seriously, you should see me gift “wrapping”), I was horrified and desperate for help when I finally heard about Viktoria from ‘lovely weddings.

We met for the first time and immediately knew that she understands what we’re looking for and that we could trust her. It was no problem for her that we didn’t need the classic bunch of wedding planning services but “only” needed help with the decorations.
The rest of the story was just a lot of fun. You tell Viktoria about all your wishes, be it geronimo balloons, burlap table runners, wild flowers…you name it and this girl creates your pinterest dream board and immediately knows the best sources to get all this stuff!

In the end Viktoria took care of the whole candybar, flowers, flower arrangements, photo booth decor, every single piece of venue decoration and spent our wedding day always by our side. We seriously can’t thank her enough and we were both agreeing (and telling everyone who’s about to get married) that this was definitely our best wedding investment! Viktoria is offering a lot of packages and deals and now she also offers a rental service for all her pretty stuff.
We were skeptic at first, thinking “who needs a wedding planner?” Eventually Viktoria allowed us to have a carefree night and I would recommend her to anybody without a single doubt.
Check out her awesome work on Facebook or her Website.

    Tolle Fotos, tolle Stimmung btw.

    …..es war soooooo schön!

  • Stephi
