We finally managed to visit the “Haus im See” for a relaxed BBQ on a Sunday afternoon and we weren’t disappointed! I heard so much about this place and it really is an amazing getaway and feels like a little vacation even if you’re just there for lunch. On Saturdays & Sundays they’re doing the pictured BBQ and you just have to chose your kind of meat/fish and help yourself with the side dishes at a little buffet inside.
It’s about a one-hour-drive from Vienna and already in Hungary. Keep in mind to bring cash since they don’t accept any cards (Euros are perfectly fine)! We’re definitely coming again
