Even a week before the wedding we still had no idea where we would spend our wedding night. We got married in Vienna so we thought back and forth about staying at home or getting a hotel room. In the end we decided to treat ourselves with two magical nights at the Hotel Imperial!
We chose the magnificent Imperial because we wanted the style of the hotel to be a noticeable contrast to our rustic ceremony and wedding location. It has been just exciting to pack our bags, wedding dress, rings etc. in order to move into a glamorous suite in your own city and DON’T spend the last night apart from each other (a tradition that I will never understand).
This way we woke up in a dreamy hotel bed on our wedding day and started the day with a relaxed hotel breakfast before some of our friends and family stopped by to say ‘Hi’.
My lovely florist of the day aka Vicky came by to deliver my beautiful wedding bouquet (still swooning over it!) and it was not before noon until we started to get ready for the ceremony.
Our suite at the imperial had a lovely double wing door so of course we couldn’t see each other while Sophie was doing my Makeup/Hair and Thomas & Cornelia were taking all the pictures.
Maid of honor (my little sister) and best man were always at our side.
Laaaate at night when we came back to our room, the staff of the Imperial surprised us with Champagne, rose petals everywhere and a hand written letter. Everyone was just so sweet and attentive in the Hotel – we really felt like King & Queen for two nights!
